Sydney Shield won convincingly over Penrith Brothers 24-16 in a Hawks triple header on Sunday at TG Milner while Ron Massey went down 16-30 to a relentless Blacktown Workers in the days closing game.

Sydney Shield have made it two wins to start the year, showing some phenomenal individual performances in front of a home crowd.
Centre Shannon Condon showed some razzle dazzle to score in spectacular fashion and Joshua Boumelhem’s show stopper intercept off an Penrith left edge play sealed the home side to victory.

A relentless Blacktown outmuscled a error-ridden Hawks in our 3pm Ron Massey match. Led by halfback Mitchell Gray, the Hawks were unable to dominate possession and field position before scoring some late in the game tries.
Langi Suli-Ruka carried a number of Blacktown defenders across the try line to score his first 4 pointer of the season. With ball in hand Angus McElroy was supported by Callum Ellis and Tjaden Mclean as they powered through the middle of the ruck.

Next Saturday, Ron Massey head to Aubrey Keech Reserve to play Mounties at 1pm and Sydney Shield take on the Moorebank Rams in a starlight 6.30pm game at Hammondville Oval.
