In a preseason showdown between Ryde Eastwood Hawks and St Marys in a highly anticipated preseason run out that ended in a captivating draw. Despite the absence of competition points on the line, both teams displayed tremendous intensity and determination, showcasing a taste of the thrilling rugby league action to come in the upcoming season.

From the outset, it was evident that neither team was holding back, as bone-crunching tackles and lightning-fast runs set the tone for an enthralling contest. St Marys, showcased their attacking flair with slick passing and dynamic ball movement, keeping the Hawks defense on their toes.

Ryde-Eastwood Hawks 60th Reunion

The Ryde-Eastwood Hawks celebrated their 60th reunion at the Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club with great enthusiasm and nostalgia. Alumni, former players, and supporters gathered to reminisce about their shared history and accomplishments. The event featured a mix of heartfelt speeches, and live music, fostering a sense of camaraderie. Attendees relived cherished moments and rekindled old friendships, making the reunion a memorable and emotional journey through the club’s rich history.

Elimination Final: (4th) Ryde-Eastwood Hawks 26 def (5th) Hills Bulls 18

A dominant first half from the Hawks proved to be the difference despite a second half surge from the Bulls, with both teams fighting to keep their seasons alive.

Ryde-Eastwood came out of the blocks in opening 40 minutes scoring four tries with winger Zac Mackay successfully converting all four tries along with a penalty goal to take the Hawks out to 26-0 at half time.\

The momentum shifted in the second half, with the Bulls hitting back with three unanswered tries in 18 minutes to close the score to 26-18.

Elimination final: (5th) Ryde-Eastwood Hawks 16 def. (4th) Cabramatta 12

It was a torrid affair with scores locked at 6-6 at halftime then 10-10 midway through the second half.

The lead changed four times in the match as both sides fought hard to keep their season alive.

Cabramatta poked their noses 12-10 in front in the 60th minute when halfback Riley Lack kicked a penalty from in front.

But with 14 minutes left on the clock, a barging 10-metre run from his opposite Hawks number Nicholas Ferris, proved the difference.
