A last-minute field goal from halfback Noah Ryan has seen the Ryde-Eastwood Hawks secure a 31-30 win over Hills Bulls at St Marys Leagues Stadium today.

The Hawks rallied to score back-to-back tries within seven minutes, with back-rower Tyler Cassel successfully kick landing a conversion to take the advantage 10-6.

The lead kept changing hands over the next eight minutes after both teams scored and converted their respected tries.

The Hawks hit back in the 56th minute through forward Gordon Whippy who pushed his way passed defenders to score and reduce the margin to 10 points (30-20).

The Hawks then scored two tries in four minutes through forward Whippy and five-eighth Tyler Colley to trail by only two points (30-28).

A penalty awarded to the Hawks in the 70th minute, saw Cassel tie the scores up at 30-all.
