Vale Greg ‘Bear’ Brennan

We are sad to advise of the recent passing of Greg “Bear’ Brennan who played for the Hawks during 1974 – 1980. A ‘tough as teak’ front rower, Greg was an integral part of the successful Hawks teams during this time and was a highly respected player, team mate and friend and will be missed.

A service to celebrate Greg’s life will be held in the Magnolia Chapel, Macquarie Park Crematorium, Cnr Plassey & Delhi Roads, North Ryde on Thursday 12th January at 12 Noon.

Vale Ken Wilson

Rugby league lost a bit of its heart and soul with the recent passing of Newtown legend Ken Wilson at the age of 71. Ken also had a long and successful association as a coach with Ryde Eastwood Hawks (1990 – 2000) which included 2 x Premierships, 5 x Runners up, 2 x Club Championships & Guildford Cup winners. He will be sadly missed.

A Celebration of Ken’s life will be held on Friday 20th January at Revesby Workers Club commencing at lunch-time. There will be a number of people who will talk & reminisceduring the afternoon.

All welcome.
